Funded Initiatives

Our Partners Impact

GSCM believes in giving all girls—regardless of ability, ethnicity, income or circumstance—the opportunity to develop leadership skills that allow them to make a difference in their communities and the world.

We Are Grateful for Support in These Areas

Camp

Camp is more than S’mores–it’s an experience to learn life skills.  Whether resident or day camp, these outdoor experiences teach girls to be more independent and self-reliant, connect with others, individually and as a team, and take action to protect the planet’s natural resources.

Community Programs

Whether in-school or after-school, programs like Free Being Me and Beyond Bars are designed to help girls from diverse and low-income communities develop academic and leadership skills to reach their full potential in a safe, all-girl environment that they might not otherwise have.

Financial Assistance

No one is excluded from Girl Scouting because of an inability to pay.  Girl Scouts of Central Maryland provides financial assistance for national membership dues, books and materials, program events, camp and girl uniforms.

Financial Literacy

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland provides girls with information and activities focused on managing their finances, giving them the skills to become independent women who can support themselves and give back to their communities.

General Operating

Operating support helps GSCM direct resources to projects where they are needed most.

Science, Technology, Engineering + Math (STEM)

Girl Scouts believes that introducing and engaging girls in STEM gives them the confidence they need to pursue interests and opportunities.
