Our multi-week Counselor-in Training (CIT) program is designed just for you! At Camp Conowingo, we believe in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, and our CIT program is the perfect stepping stone for girls who are enthusiastic about becoming future camp staff members. This transformative experience offers young women in high school the opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience, build self-confidence, and foster teamwork, all while being immersed in the beauty of the great outdoors.
As a CIT, you will:
Through mentorship and training, you will develop essential leadership skills that will serve you well in any future endeavor.
You’ll work alongside experienced camp counselors, gaining real-world experience in leading activities, group management, and camper engagement.
Forge deep connections with fellow CITs and campers and create lasting memories and friendships that will stay with you for years to come.
Enjoy the stunning natural surroundings of Camp Conowingo while honing your outdoor skills and knowledge.
Develop personal growth, self-reliance, and problem-solving abilities through a variety of camp activities and challenges.
Contribute to the Camp Conowingo community by positively impacting campers’ experiences and helping to create a safe and enjoyable environment.

Join us for our Summer Camp Open House! Campers and their families or caregivers are invited to visit camp on either Saturday or Sunday to explore the grounds, take a self-guided tour, meet our Outdoor Experience Director, and ask any questions as you prepare for Summer 2026. We’re excited to welcome you and help you get to know camp!
