Archery Training - Saturday, May 23
Cost: $50 per participant
Eligibility: Adult Girl Scout members only
Capacity: Limited to 10 participants
Join us for an in-person Archery Instructor Training designed to prepare adult volunteers to safely lead and support archery activities with their Girl Scout troops. This training is ideal for volunteers who want to expand outdoor programming opportunities and help girls build confidence, focus, and new outdoor skills through archery.
This is a blended training that includes both an online course and an in-person practical session. Participants must complete the required online portion before attending the in-person training. The online course covers archery fundamentals, range safety, equipment, and teaching techniques, while the in-person session focuses on hands-on practice and demonstration of skills.
Registration & Payment
- Registration opens March 25
- A $10 deposit is required at registration to hold your spot
- The remaining $40 is paid later when you enroll in the required online course
What You'll Learn
During this training, participants will:
- Learn how to safely set up and supervise an archery range
- Practice proper shooting form and range commands
- Gain confidence in teaching beginner archery skills to youth
- Understand equipment care, storage, and basic maintenance
Upon successful completion of both the online and in-person components, participants will be qualified to assist with and lead introductory archery programming for Girl Scouts in accordance with council and safety guidelines.
Additional Information
- Training is for adults only
- All equipment will be provided
- Participants should wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed-toe shoes
If you are unable to attend this session, another archery training opportunity will be offered in the fall.
