Girls/adults will visit Jerusalem Mill Village at Gunpowder Falls State Park and learn about local history in their own backyard from as far back as 250 years ago! Jerusalem Mill Village dates back to the 1770's and was also the site of Harry Gilmor's Raid during the Civil War. First, girls/adults will go on a guided hike (about 1.5 miles round trip) from the visitor's center to the Jericho Covered Bridge and back. This hike will be through the woods along the Little Gunpowder Falls. After the hike, everyone can enjoy the museum and living history exhibits at their own pace. The living history exhibits include the Visitor Center in the Grist Mill, McCourtney's General Store Museum and Gift Shop, Blacksmith Shop, The Joinery, and Miller's House. Girls will receive an America250 Fun Patch for participating in the event.
