About our Council

Located at 4806 Seton Drive, Baltimore, MD, 21215, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland was established in 1962 and serves 20,000 girls in 2,000 troops and groups in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties with the help of nearly 9,000 dedicated and committed adult volunteers. Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland value diversity and inclusiveness and do not discriminate or recruit on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, national origin, or physical or developmental disability.  Our goal is to create a safe place for all girls to explore, learn new skills, challenge themselves, make new friends and have fun!

Our council owns four camp properties: Camp Conowingo in Conowingo, MD, which serves as our summer resident camp hub; Camp Ilchester in Ellicott City, MD, home of our Caitlin Dunbar Nature Center; Camp Whippoorwill in Pasadena, MD; and, Camp Woodlands in Annapolis, MD. Three of these camp locations (Conowingo, Whippoorwill and Woodlands) have water access for a variety of water activities. More information about our camps, including rental information, can be found in the camp section.

Every year, we recognize and thank our donors for the difference they are making for girls in our Annual Report, as well as those who have had a gift given in their honor or memory.

In addition, in order to maintain our commitment to transparency, our  FY2019 IRS 990 form is also available.
