Resident Camp

At Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s summer resident camp, girls can spend their summer on horseback, practice and enhance their archery skills, enjoy nights in the Conowingo backcountry, travel to amusement and dinosaur parks, snorkel with aquatic life, embark on a Dungeons and Dragons quest, and so much more! While we have plenty of adventures scheduled, campers will still have plenty of time to enjoy their favorite camp activities like spending time in the pool, singing camp songs, sitting around the campfire, and making crafts. And, the all-girl environment encourages girls to develop leadership skills and grow their independence while having fun with friends old and new. Girls are sure to have a great adventure at our summer resident camp!

*Registration for summer resident camp begins: January 26th, 2023 at   8 am. Click the session dates tab to see the session offerings for this year.

Riding Camp

Session 1, 2, 4, 8  | For Grades 4-12

At Riding Camp, campers will experience the joy and adventure of English horseback riding in a safe and comfortable environment while under the supervision of Camp Conowingo’s experienced equestrian staff. On every full day of camp, campers will have time in the stables learning about horse health and care, and riding time to work on skills in the ring and out on the trails. Campers will also get hands-on training when it comes to the care and management of horses by helping Conowingo’s equestrian staff with feeding, cleaning, and grooming. Additionally, campers will participate in other camp activities as time allows.

For more information about Riding Camp, contact camp@gscm.org

$685 if you register before March 1st

$740 if you register on/after March 1st

Due to the liability on behalf of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, staff may change the level of campers at any point during the week to assure they are at the level that best suits their riding abilities.

Note: Horses may not be ridden in excessive heat. If this occurs, other activities will be offered during that time.
