Wednesday 

Ambassador Eco Advocate w/DooWop - Zoom @2PM

Ambassador Eco Advocate Badge

Discover a nature issue that’s important to you, find solutions, and make a difference.

1. Learn what eco advocates do
2. Find an issue you’re passionate about
3. Come up with a solution
4. Advocate for your issue
5. Teach others how to advocate for your cause

When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll have learned how to advocate for environmental issues concerning nature.

Thursday 

Senior First Aid w/Megan: Zoom @4PM 

Girls will be speaking with an interviewing ER doctors and nurses from University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, an EMT from the Arbutus Fire Department, and a staff member from Maryland Poison Control. Girls are encouraged to have questions ready to ask these professionals relating to ER triage, neck injuries, drug and alcohol abuse, and other medical and first aid topics. 

Registration closes on May 13th at 11:59 PM.

Climate Change (K-6) w/Laura - Zoom @4PM

Join us for part 3 of this series as we explore the causes of climate change 

Registration closes on Wednesday May 13th at 11:59 PM.

Materials List 

  • Plastic Soda Bottle
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife or Exacto knife
  • Cork or Spool
  • Skewer or pencil or straw
  • String
  • Small object to lift (washer, eraser, small fishing sinker)
  • Duct Tape
  • Glue
  • Large Funnel
  • Paper Clips
  • Large Bucket
  • Pitcher or Large Cup of water
  • Newspaper: cut in to 10 strips about 2 inches in width, then fold each strip in half width wise and then in half again (You can use the stapler or tape to keep your strips from unfolding. You should have 20 long thin strips)
  • Stapler or Double-sided Scotch tape
