The sky is a masterpiece. It graces us with living art through glorious sunsets, shifting cloud formations, or stunning displays of stars. Our world is a stage and the sky performs with beauty, wonder, and mystery. Girls will investigate the science behind the skies, explore the connection between people and flight, learn ways to clear sky pollution and, create sky art. Additionally, girls will learn about “green” engineering or LEED-- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a green building certification system that promotes sustainable development and environmental health. This program emphasizes and explores different forms of green technologies found at the Robinson Nature Center while discussing issues such as storm water management and natural resource consumption. Each participant will receive the Girl Scout Senior Sky badge at the conclusion of the program. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and limited group numbers, adults are not permitted to register for this event.
