Girl Scouts of Central Maryland provides an array of support for girls to ensure that they can enjoy the benefits of Girl Scout camp/outdoor program activities. Girl Scouts of Central Maryland owns and operates four beautiful camp properties in various areas within Maryland. Today it is even more critical that financial support is needed to maintain and expand program activities for girls through camp opportunities. We believe that Every Girl, Everywhere deserves the opportunity to learn leadership and life skills that will help girls achieve personal and team goals.
Our camp properties are vital for girls in the areas of developing and participating in physical challenges which increases their self esteem and endurance. Properties serve girls from all over the Maryland region by offering group camping, day and resident camps and special outdoor program activity events. Girls participate in activities ranging from learning basic camping skills to minimal impact camping, team building, exposure to the elements and to program activities which otherwise may not be possible in their lives. In addition older girls participate in new high adventure activities such as rock climbing, high and low rope courses, and white water rafting.
Camp Donor Levels - Giving options are listed below:
- $1-$50 Camp Lover
- $51-$100 Camp Supporter
- $101-$500 Camp Enthusiast
- $501-$1,000 CEO's Circle
- $1,001+ President's Club
Some other options of support for your consideration are:
- Sponsor a girl for a week of resident camp who may not have the opportunity to attend camp - $250 per girl
- Sponsor a girl for a week of day camp who may not have the opportunity to attend camp - $100 per girl
We would like to share with you an inspiring story: One of our Girl Scouts who happens to be disabled in a wheel chair completed the high ropes challenge at Camp Conowingo. After many struggling attempts and with the support of all her Girl Scout friends, she did it! Image the pride and level of self-esteem that this one activity alone provided this girl and her team with such a sense of accomplishment. This young lady expressed that this was one of the happiest days of her life!
