Adult Supervision
- Daisies, Brownies and Juniors must be accompanied by an adult
- Cadettes and Seniors should be accompanied by an adult
- Two adults must be present at all times at booth sales
- Refer to Safety-Wise for more guidelines.
Booth Sales
- Two adults must be present at all times
- Parent/guardian permission must be obtained for each girl participating
- You should have at least one first-aid certified adult at each booth
- Adults are required to locate the nearest hospital, fire department and/or police station in the event of an emergency.
- Only sell cookies during daylight hours unless accompanied by an adult
- No booth sales after 9 p.m.
- Wear something that identifies you as a Girl Scout (uniform, sash, vest, official Girl Scout pins or Girl Scout T-shirt)

Selling in a Neighborhood
- Become familiar with the neighborhood where you will sell cookies
- Sell with a buddy at all times.
- Never enter a customer's home.
- Never give out names, addresses or telephone numbers of girls to customers. If it is necessary to give out a telephone number, give the Troop Leader's telephone number.
- Wear something that identifies you as a Girl Scout (uniform, sash, vest, official Girl Scout pins or Girl Scout T-shirt)
Handling Money
- Girls are given money envelopes to use during the Cookie Sale to collect money from customers. Please write the following information on the outside of the envelope:

First name, first letter of last name
Service Unit and/or Troop Number
(In the event that envelopes are lost customers should contact Girl Scouts of Central Maryland to report the lost envelope.)
- Safeguards for money collected must be coordinated by adults. Money must be given to the accompanying or supervising adult frequently to avoid girls walking around with large sums of cash.
