It’s been a busy year with lots of great programs!

We have a Program Aide Training BASIC coming up on April 12th at Camp Ilchester and also the same program is happening in Bel Air, MD. Take your pick! We also are having Program Aide Training OUTDOOR at Camp Ilchester in the afternoon of April 12th.

For the younger girls, we have Girl Scout Forestree 101 which is an exciting program where the girls learn about conservation of our natural resources and how they can help the environment. Animal habitat preservation and restoration will be covered as well!

Coming up on April 26th we have Big Explosions Strong Gravity which is a way cool science program we are doing with experts from NASA! That is for grades 7-12.

On the same date (April 26th), we have Outdoors in the City at the GSCM Service Center on Seton Drive in Baltimore. That is for grades 3-6.

We will look forward to seeing you at these April programs!

Now let’s take a look at what’s available in May!

We have the 2nd Biennial Junior Encampment on May 2nd through May 4th. Join girls from all over the Council for a weekend of tent camping at Camp Conowingo filled with activities, new friendships, fun and adventure.

Spring Fling on May 10th will be a carnival and everyone loves a carnival! This year’s theme is “The Air Up There,” featuring kites and other flying things. Come and celebrate the Spring season and make kites with the Outdoor Program Department, and/or fly your own kites in the open field.

Family Whitewater Weekend is Friday May 16-Sunday May 18th at which we will spend an exciting weekend in the Poconos! We will be whitewater rafting, watching movies, and having great family fun!

May 17th is All American Arts at which we will make our own patriotic cards, gift bags, tags and mini notebooks using stamps, patriotic themed stencils and rubbings.

June promises to be an exciting month as well!

Starting with the Debutante Deluxe Girl Scout Ball on June 6th, The girls will be learning a thing or two about ballroom dancing and learning social skills in a fun Prince Charming and daughter dance.

Then on June 13th will be the spectacular Princess Ball for Brownies and their Prince Charming. (18 or older) We will all be wearing our prettiest princess gowns, wearing beautiful jewelry and crowns, too! It promises to be a fun time! We’ll look forward to seeing you there!

Hi Girl Scouts!

It’s back to school time! Welcome to another year of Girls Scouts! We have some exciting programs being planned-

We have a series of ART programs based on Van Gogh’s work Starry Night. Plus, The Butterfly Luncheon is back, as well as the Holiday Festival.

We have added a couple of way kewl arts programs based on ancient Egypt, too!

We have a couple heath and fitness programs –The ever popular From Stress to Success plus we added My Body and Body Works.

The Princess Ball is returning and we have added a Debutante Ball!

We are continuing the destinations Dish, Girl Scout Gold and silver award workshops and the Junior leadership forum!

Plus, there are lots of fantastic outdoor programs going on too! Come Sail Away is returning along with Forestree 101, Master of the Campfire and Rock Wall Adventures.
