Girl Scout Gold Award Workshop

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Learn all about what it takes to plan a successful Gold Award project. Questions about the award and its requirements will be answered here. This workshop is strongly suggested, but not required, for girls. Both girls and adults attending this workshop need to register for the event.

Taste of Savannah

Girls will explore the local sights of Savannah, Georgia, through a stories, games, snacks and crafts. Earn the Historically Speaking Savannah, Georgia patch. This is neither a drop-off nor tagalong event.

Come to camp and learn about archery! This two-hour program activity will concentrate on safety, shooting techniques and target practice. Volunteer instructors will lead each session. It doesn’t matter whether you hit the target or not—you will have a blast!

Night Owl

Come to camp and learn about the sights and sounds of the night. Find out about shadows, meet nocturnal animals, and make your very own glow in the dark Sweet Dream bracelet. This is a great activity for a new camper. Participation patch included. Girl Scout Cadettes will complete at least two badge requirements towards the Night Owl Badge.

Are you familiar with the TV show Minute to Win it? Here is your chance to come and show ‘em how to get it done! Join other Cadettes, Senior and Ambassador scouts and their friends and family for an evening filled with ridiculous mini games and silly prizes too! Come ready for action as we will be choosing contestants from the audience. This is not a drop-off event.

The best view of camp is at the top of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland rock wall. Challenge yourself to make it to the top of the 25 foot tower. Learn safety tips for future climbing and earn a participation patch.

Animal Welfare Day

GSCM and the Snyder Foundation for Animals bring you a day of learning about the wonderful things being done to help domestic animals in your area. You will have a chance to learn about different organizations, make cat toys and dog treats for animals in shelters, see special presentations, and more! Please bring a can/unopened container of dog or cat food or a dog or cat toy as a donation for animals in a shelter awaiting adoption. (Note: inexpensive toys are often made with inferior or dangerous materials that would not be appropriate to share with pets and shelter animals. Chew toys should always say “MADE in the USA,” not “assembled” or “distributed.”)
