Grades 2-3

Splish splash
Throw your swimsuit and sunscreen in your bag and plan to stay wet! If that sounds like fun then this is the week for you. Splash around with all of your new friends playing in the pool. Take a break from all the water and enjoy some arts and crafts, nature, sports, and much more.

Grades 4-5

We want it all! –  THIS SECTION IS FULL
Do you want to do everything at Camp Conowingo?  Then this is your chance! Go on creek hikes and cook your own meal over the campfire. See how quickly you can climb the rock wall and work as a team to conquer the ropes course. You will even get a chance to visit the stables and go on a horseback ride in the corral. Make new friends as you sit ‘round the campfire, make arts and crafts, swim and enjoy nature activities. (horses may not be ridden in excessive heat. If this occurs, other activities will be offered during that time.)

Mix n’ match –  THIS SECTION IS FULL
Mix n’ match your way through the week with a bit of everything for the first-time camper! Get creative with arts and crafts, spend a session canoeing, learn about nature, get on a horse and go on a corral ride, challenge yourself to get up the rock wall and meet new friends while roasting s‘mores around the camp fire.  (horses may not be ridden in excessive heat. If this occurs, other activities will be offered during that time.)

Wet wild & cool
Come to this session and explore the wet and wonderful world of water.  Have some fun in the sun with water balloon volleyball, a splash contest, water aerobics, and many other water related games! When you are not at the pool, have fun participating in a variety of other camp activities such as arts and crafts, ropes course and creek hikes.

Zombie survival
Do you have what it takes to endure a zombie invasion? Learn the survival skills needed to stay alive after the rise of the undead. Learn about edible plants, navigation by the stars, first aid in case of emergencies and other helpful information to keep you from becoming a zombie snack. Whether you have zombies on your lawn or are surrounded by the walking dead, this program can help you make it out alive. Girls will work on the first aid legacy badge.

Grades 6-8

Kamp kayak
During this week, girls and their new friends will have fun learning kayaking and canoeing basics.  Start the week with an introduction to the basics of kayaking on flat water, performing rescue and safety techniques and practicing paddle strokes. Then, girls will have the chance to leave camp to paddle and explore local waterways and enjoy panoramic views and wildlife. Also during the week, girls will have the chance to canoe on our own conowingo lagoon as well as participate in other camp activities such as arts and crafts, nature exploration and swimming.

Water wonderland
Are you like a fish when it comes to the water?  Come to camp conowingo and spend more time in and on the water than on dry land. Enjoy creek hikes, canoeing, and swimming in the pool.  There may even be a chance for a polar bear swim! Take a break at your own water wonderland par-tay where we will break out the giant slip’n’slide, play water games, and toss around water balloons.  Your week will culminate in building a cardboard boat to stay afloat in the end of summer regatta.

Zombie invasion
Wake up the first morning of camp and discover that all that’s left of civilization is a few girls. You have a week to rebuild. How will you survive? Learn how to hide in the woods and identify edible plants, develop a power source, use the sun to clean water and construct a shelter. Perfect your archery skills to defend yourself and practice emergency first aid for treating wounds and amputated limbs. Be careful, zombies are lurking!

Grades 9-12

Moonlight mayhem – THIS SECTION IS FULL
Explore camp by night. Sleep out under the stars a couple of nights. Go on twilight hikes, stargaze, play  flashlight tag, learn about nocturnal animals, throw a glow party, and have a late-night cookout. Learn how to use a star map and hear stories about constellations from different cultures.  Record some of the stories using sequential art techniques. And of course, you get to sleep in!

Triple challenge
During this adventure-bound session, you will travel to the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania to camp out for the week. Think you have what it takes to ride the rapids? We sure think you do! Come challenge some tough rapids on a day trip down river. As if that isn’t enough adventure, challenge yourself with mountain biking, hiking, and disc golfing.
