Funded Initiatives

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Inc. (GSCM)  unites with local, state and national funders  to give every girl the opportunity to be the leader she wants to be, to give every girl the tools to reach her fullest potential wherever she lives, whatever challenges face her, and however great her journey.  Across our region-- made up of Baltimore City, and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties-- GSCM continues to address the disparity between communities and strives to provide access to the myriad of Girl Scout programs to all girls.

With partnership and investment from foundations, corporations, federated giving programs and government funders GSCM has seen tremendous community impact. We are committed to evidence-based best practices, strong positive outcomes, transparency and accountability. GSCM has successfully demonstrated measurable impact on girls through our:

  • Out-of-School Time programs for girls in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County;
  • Hispanic Initiative in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County;
  • Health and Wellness program to combat  obesity in Baltimore City girls;
  • Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program for daughters of incarcerated mothers;
  • Fee-free overnight resident camp and camping supplies for Baltimore City girls;
  • Fee-free summer day camp programs for underserved girls in our region;
  • GSCM's STEM Program, customized for every age level, including financial literacy, robotics and environmental literacy, offered in a variety of venues from in-school programs to day camp to one-day events.  Learn more about our STEM programs here.
