Training Registration Procedure Course Schedule Become a Trainer
 

Ways to register for training courses Pre-registration is required for all courses. Registration for training courses can be done online, by mail or fax.

**Online Registration can be completed by accessing www.gscm.org. Click on the ONLINE REGISTRATION icon at the upper right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up E-Council Online Registration.

  • Click on ADULT TRAINING and this will bring up the training calendar. (If the E-Council window does not open,, click on HELP in the upper menu. This will tell you how to temporarily disable the pop up blocker which will allow the E-Council window to open.)
  • Click on the desired course, and it will bring up the registration form for that particular course.
  • If there is a course fee, complete the credit card information and click Submit.
  • ALL courses with a cost are to be prepaid. Be sure you click the submit button only once. You will receive an email confirmation of this transaction immediately. Once your registration is processed you will receive a course confirmation with the specific information for your course.

FOR FASTER CONFIRMATIONS be sure to choose EMAIL NOTICES? on the registration form.

If you do not have internet access you can register by mail or fax Use Training Registration Form (08-1466). The completed form, along with full payment (if required) must be received at the Council office at least 2 weeks prior to the course. Late registrations will be taken after the deadline only if space is available.

Registrations will not be taken over the phone. Training@gscm.org is for training questions ONLY (Not for registration).

Other things you should know:

Walk-ins Please do not be a walk-in. All participants in training courses and workshops are required to pre-register. Registration is necessary to ensure there are sufficient training materials and the trainer knows how many participants to expect. Only those with confirmed registrations can attend training. Please phone the Member and Volunteer Services Assistant at 410-358-9711 or 1-800-492-2521 with questions about confirmations. In the event of a course cancellation or location change, only registered participants will be notified.

Fees & Refund Policy Leadership in Girl Scouting and Program Level courses have no charge. They are funded by your contributions to Family Share. At the Let's Go Camping pre-session you will be asked to contribute toward the cost of food and supplies (usually between $10 and $15).

First Aid/CPR courses and certain workshops have a fee. FEES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH REGISTRATION FORMS. Refunds or a one-time course transfer will be allowed when requested at least two business days before the course or when a class is filled. Individual financial assistance is available. Complete the Financial Assistance Form (04-1121) allowing 45 days prior to the course and submit with the registration. Registration for courses closes 48 hours prior to the training event.

Cancellations Courses that do not meet the minimum number of participants are subject to cancellation five business days prior to the course. If a course is full, cancelled, or there is a change in time or location, you will be notified by email, telephone or mail. Remember, we cannot call you if you are not registered. If a course you've registered for is cancelled, you have 30 days to either reschedule or request a refund.

Weather Cancellations   If the Public School where the training is scheduled to take place is cancelled, the training will be cancelled.

Late Arrivals Please plan to arrive at any training 15 minutes early in order to find a parking place and sign in. Give yourself a little extra time to deal with the typical Baltimore area traffic. You may not receive credit for a class if you are more than 10 minutes late.

Children These trainings are for adults. As a courtesy to the trainers and the other participants, no children may attend. Participants bringing children to training will be asked to leave.

Course Confirmations A course confirmation will be emailed to you upon receipt of your registration form if you have provided us with an email address. Otherwise you will receive your confirmation by mail. If you do not receive your confirmation, please email training@gscm.org or call 410-358-9711. The course may be full or there may be a problem with your registration. Please notify the Volunteer Services Specialist if you are unable to attend by phone or email. If a course or workshop is cancelled, rescheduled or there is a change in time or location, all registered participants will be notified.

REMEMBER TO REGISTER EARLY! SPACE IS LIMITED AND WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

If you cannot attend, please call the Council office to cancel. By canceling in advance, you allow others to register for the training. To cancel, call 410-358-9711, or 1-800-492-2521. You can leave a message 24 hours a day.

Refunds are given only in the following instances:

  • Training course is full
  • Training course is cancelled by the Adult Development Department (minimum number not met, weather conditions prohibitive) .
  • Training date/time changed by the Adult Development Department to a time not convenient for participants.
