girl, looking at a bookBooks are a great resource for songs, ceremonies, crafts, camping, cooking, the history of Girl Scouting and its founder, and anything else you can image!

Videotapes include topics such as emergency preparedness, career exploration, Girl Scout History, and diversity.  Most of these tapes were designed specifically for kids and are sensitive to their level of understanding; if unsure or uncomfortable watch the video first yourself.  The group is often the most safe and comfortable setting to learn and share their views on these important issues.  Many deal with sensitive issues, so you should check Safety-Wise when using them.

Issues for Girl Scouts: These booklets have replaced the contemporary issues series. The booklets are for specific Girl Scout program levels and are fresher and more fun.  The content and activities are age appropriate and written for that comprehension level.

The booklets deal with issues such as literacy, girls are great, and relationships with friends and family. The booklets are available for purchase through the GSCM Store, however, several copies of each booklet are available for check out through the Volunteer Resource Center.

Uniform Closet: You can recycle used uniforms as your Girl Scouts bridge to another level! Please consider donating your used uniforms to girls in need to Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
