Everyone knows that Girl
Scouts believes strongly in community support. Again this year the Gift
of Caring Program is being promoted across the central Maryland region.
What is the Gift
of Caring?
The Gift of Caring is an opportunity for customers to
purchase Girl Scout cookies from girls and troops to donate to community
causes. For example: Homeless shelters, churches, retirement homes, etc.

How does it work?
- Groups
make the commitment to participate in the Gift of
Caring Program.
- Groups
decide which charitable organization (s) they will visit and present
donated cookies.
- Each
girl completes her Gift of Caring
card,
identifying her group’s chosen charitable organization, and attaches it
to her order card.
- Groups
role-plays asking customers for their cookie order and explaining the Gift
of Caring program.
- Girls
take orders and requests Gift
of Caring donations.
- Groups
decides varieties of Gift
of Caring cookies to
order.
- Groups
visit chosen charitable organization and delivers the Gift of Caring Girl Scout
Cookies.
Imagine the joy the
recipients have when they are visited by Girl Scouts.
