Why Get Involved

In an hour, a day, a month or a year – you can make a difference in a girl's life. Whether in technology or the arts, sports or medicine, business or government, you can serve as a Girl Scout volunteer, working with troops and groups to develop and enhance new skills.

No matter what your experience, your age, or the amount of time you have to give, girls will grow strong because of your involvement.

Volunteer for an Event

The easiest way to get involved is to help out with an event or program. The process is simple!

Step 1: Find a program or event for which you would like to volunteer.

Step 2: Email Volunteer Services with your name, contact information, and the event you would like to help.

How They Made a Difference

A team of color-coordinated volunteers from Gap Inc helped staff the 2008 Green Carpet Event. The event, which featured favorite chefs from local restaurants, celebrity appearances, an awards show and more than 400 Girl Scouts and friends, couldn't have happened without the efforts of these volunteers, who gave up their Thursday night to pull off this big event.
