Camp Staff Opportunities

Now hiring for summer resident camp 2012! Positions include salary, room and board for the entirety of the summer season.
(Additional free training opportunities available in ropes course, life guarding, archery and first aid/CPR.)

The 2012 Summer Season runs from June – August, 2012.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Office Assistant
FILLED

The Office Assistant oversees the Resident Camp office, keeps orderly records of daily activities, and communicates with parents.
FOOD & HEALTH
Health Supervisor Oversees the health center to ensure the health and safety of campers and staff. Manages incoming health screening, oversees medication dispersal, stocks first-aid kits and orders supplies as needed. 21+, current RN or EMT certification and current driver’s license.

Kitchen Manager
FILLED
Manages all aspects of kitchen facilities in order to serve nutritionally-balanced meals for 250 campers and staff. Supervise staff, order food weekly, maintain clean facility, prepare menus and follow Dining Hall procedures. 21+, experienced cook for large groups, current ServSafe certification.

Kitchen Assistant
FILLED

Assists with the operation of the kitchen and dining hall facilities. Assist in preparation, serving and cleaning of three meals daily. 18+, experience in food prep and dish washing.

   
PROGRAM
Horseback Riding Manager
FILLED
Manages all aspects of the equestrian program and staff. Assist in scheduling of specialty horse time to ensure safety of campers and horses, create educational and fulfilling program based on program goals. Supervise staff, horse care and stable maintenance. 21+, experience managing horse program, written proof of qualifications.

Horseback Riding Assistant
FILLED
Assist in horse care, stable maintenance and education of campers in equestrian program. Maintain a safe, clean and positive program area. 18+, experience riding and teaching horseback riding.

Waterfront Manager Manages and supervises activities, staff, scheduling and safety in pool and waterfront areas. Coordinates swim test for all incoming campers and scheduling of water activities. Maintain health and safety of pool area daily. 21+, current lifeguard  and CPR PR certifications.

Waterfront Assistant Assist in water and swimming activities, maintain cleanliness of pool facilities and assists in unit activities when pool is closed. 18+ and current lifeguard and CPR PR certifications.

Arts and Crafts Manager
FILLED
Implement and manage the arts and crafts program. Create age and program appropriate activities, submit supply lists and maintain clean and organized area. Assist in supplying units with program ideas, materials and assistance. 18+, experience teaching art activities to youth.

Nature Manager

FILLED

Implement and manage the nature program and center. Create age and program appropriate activities, submit supply lists and maintain clean and organized area. Assist in supplying units with program ideas, materials and assistance. 18+, experience teaching outdoor education activities to youth.

Ropes Course Manager Implement and manage the high adventure program including low ropes, high ropes and rock wall. Create age and program appropriate activities, submit supply lists and maintain clean and organized area. Assist in supplying units with program ideas, materials and assistance. 18+, experience on ropes course and ability to complete training.

Sports Manager

Implement and manage the sports program. Create age and program appropriate activities, submit supply lists and maintain clean and organized area. Assist in supplying units with program ideas, materials and assistance. 18+, experience teaching sporting activities to youth.

   
UNIT
Travel Unit Counselor
Manages the camps that travel off camp property each week. Coordinates activities, schedules, campers and other staff to ensure a positive, safe and fun experience. Responsible for the daily supervision of girls and attention to established itineraries. 21+ and current driver’s license.

Unit Counselor

FILLED

Assists the Unit Leader with the planning and implementation of unit activities and camper dynamics. Responsible for the daily supervision of girls in the living unit and program areas. 18+.

Assistant Unit Counselor
FILLED

Plans, organizes and implements the Girl Scout program in a designated unit living area; giving leadership and guidance to campers for a healthful and fun Girl Scout group camping experience.
